Dan and Marilyn Germann
A wide range of missionary tasks have defined Dan and Marilyn Germann’s years of service. They have established contact with a hostile nomadic unreached tribe deep in the Amazon rainforest and coordinated ministries among Sub-Saharan Muslim peoples in Senegal, West Africa. When missionaries were taken hostage by guerrilla forces they worked tirelessly to seek their release. Today they enjoy a teaching and consultant role in Latin America. The next generation of Latin American missionaries is having an impact around world as they go to some of the most forgotten and neediest people groups. Dan and Marilyn teach transcultural ministry courses, but it’s the one-on-one mentoring of these precious Latin American missionaries that they most value. They are called on by mission leaders to provide evaluation and consultation throughout South America. Dan and Marilyn feel wonderfully blessed for the privilege to serve.
Prayer Request: Pray for Dan and Marilyn as they work out of Bogota to serve Latin American missionaries. Pray that they might bring support and encouragement as well as shape thinking for a rapidly changing ministry context.
MBC Missionary History: Dan and Marilyn have been part of MBC for many years. As a teen, Marilyn was part of the five families that started MBC. As a young couple on their way to Colombia to minister to ethnic minority people, it was MBC that supported them and sent them to the mission field. Forty-eight years later God is still blessing their ministry through the worldwide outreach of MBC.
